Mexico - Guadalupe
Every year, great white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) have a rendez-vous in Guadalupe island, off the coast of Baja California in Mexico. They come from all over the Pacific ocean to prey on puppies of sea lions or elephant seals that congregate here to give birth. By mid July the males start arriving, followed early September by huge females, among which the famous Deep Blue, almost 7 m long, sometimes show up.
Great white sharks are Apex predators, the lords of our oceans, and watching them in their natural habitat, so powerfull and at the same time so full of grace, is a real privilege.
