Also knowned as "The land of smiles" Thailand is one of the most popular tourist destination in Southeast Asia, but it is also a very pleasant place for underwater photographers.
On the Southeast, the Gulf of Thailand offers great dive places like Koh Tao and the nearby famous "Sail Rock" where whale sharks can very often be spotted.
On the Southwest side, the Andaman Sea is home to many great dive places like Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, the Similan islands, or the world famous dive spot "Richelieu Rock". Here, besides the usual suspects of all tropical reefs, scuba divers can encounter mantas, whale sharks, reef sharks and also zebra sharks.
